Outdoor Education Program
The OCDSB's Outdoor Education program extends beyond traditional classroom learning, offering secondary students immersive experiences in natural environments. Students learn through hands-on activities like hiking, canoeing, and winter sports in Ottawa's outdoor spaces, deepening their understanding of curriculum and promoting environmental stewardship. Secondary students have the opportunity to participate in activities that foster teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking, while developing a heightened awareness of environmental issues and sustainable practices. This program aims to connect students with the natural world, enriching their academic experience and cultivating responsible, environmentally conscious citizens.
